Pagelet started as a simple idea: drag an HTML file onto a page and it's live. V2 keeps that idea at the core and rebuilds everything around it. The whole site has been rewritten and redesigned, and publishing now covers far more than a single file: whole folders, zip archives and PDFs all get their own pagelet.host address.
Here's a tour of what's new.
A refreshed design
V2 looks completely different. The new look is built on what we call the Popcorn system:
- A warm cream canvas instead of stark white, with graphite type and serif display headings
- Pill-shaped buttons and inputs everywhere, with one soft shadow instead of heavy borders
- A full-screen drag overlay: drop a file anywhere on the page, not just in one box
- A little confetti when your site goes live, because publishing should feel good
The same design now runs through every page: the landing page, the dashboard, the editor, the blog and all ten free web tools.
A real dashboard
V1 already had a dashboard and a simple visual editor. V2 rebuilds both and adds the parts that were missing. Sign in with Google and you can:
- See all your sites with their URL, status, size and view counts
- Rename the slug at any time, the address changes immediately
- Copy the link or open a ready-to-print QR code for any site
- Watch analytics per site: views over the last 30 days, all-time totals and top traffic sources
- Edit visually: open any page in the improved editor and click text to change it, no code needed
- Connect a custom domain with automatic HTTPS on Pro
- Manage API keys for the REST API and MCP, and delete or rename sites whenever you like
Each site gets a panel like this one, right next to the site in your dashboard:

Example numbers, but the real panel looks exactly like this.
Guests can still publish without an account. Uploads from signed-out visitors stay online for 30 days, and if you sign up afterwards you can claim them.
Upload anything: HTML, folders, zips and PDFs
This is the biggest change. The upload stage now accepts:
Single HTML files. The classic. Drop one file, get a live page with its CSS and JavaScript inline.
Whole folders. Drop a folder (or pick multiple files) and the structure is preserved, as
long as there's an index.html at the root. Multi-page sites work out of the box: about.html
sits at yoursite.pagelet.host/about.html.
Zip archives. Export your site from any static site generator, drop the zip, and Pagelet unpacks it for you. Unsafe entries (path tricks, symlinks, executables) are rejected before anything is written.
PDFs. Drop a PDF and it becomes a clean document page with its own link and QR code, ready for resumes, menus, event programs and more.
Every site keeps the same slug rules as before: 3 to 40 characters of lowercase letters, digits and hyphens. You choose the name when the slug is free.
Paste to publish
No file at all? Paste your HTML straight into the editor and publish it from there. Handy for quick experiments and for code you already have on your clipboard.
Describe it instead: the AI website generator
If you don't have code yet, the AI website generator writes the page for you. Describe the site in a sentence or two, watch it stream into a live preview, then publish with one click and fine-tune it in the editor. It's built for single-file sites, so the result stays yours: one readable HTML file you can download or host anywhere.
Safer by default
Every publish, from every source, passes the same screening: fast deterministic heuristics on upload, then an AI analysis that looks for phishing, credential harvesting, malware delivery and scam patterns. Clean sites stay live, suspicious ones get flagged for review, and malicious content is blocked and quarantined automatically. Publishing never waits on the scan: your page is live first and screened right after.
Built for agents too
V2 ships a REST API and an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and your own scripts can publish and manage sites with an API key. We wrote a whole guide about creating a website with Claude and publishing it over MCP.
Plans
- Free: 10 sites, up to 5 MB each, all tools, API and MCP access, analytics and QR codes
- Pro (€2.99/month): unlimited sites, 50 MB per site, custom domains with HTTPS, and a spot in the homepage showcase
