How to turn a PDF into a URL

  1. Upload your PDF. Free hosting supports up to 5 MB per document; Pro supports up to 50 MB.
  2. Copy the link and open it once the security checks pass.
  3. Sign in from the same browser to claim the PDF for free, then share its link or get a QR code from your dashboard.

Each PDF gets its own pagelet.host address. The filename helps form the link, with a suffix if the name is already taken. Readers do not need an account to open an unprotected document. Their browser settings determine whether it opens on screen or downloads.

Keep your PDF with a free account

Claim the document after uploading to manage it in your dashboard. A free account can keep up to 10 websites or PDFs in total, with a 5 MB limit per publication. You can copy the link, get a QR code, see view counts and delete the document. Each revised PDF upload creates a new link, so update any links and QR codes when you publish a new version.

Frequently asked questions

Is PDF hosting really free?

Yes — uploading needs no account, and a free account keeps up to 10 PDFs of 5 MB each. Pro (€2.99/month) gives unlimited documents up to 50 MB and adds custom domains.

How do I keep and manage my PDF?

After uploading as a guest, sign in with Google from the same browser to claim the document. Your free account lets you keep and manage it in the dashboard. You do not need Pro to keep a claimed PDF.

How do I turn a PDF into a URL?

Upload your PDF here, copy the HTTPS link, and share it once the security checks pass. Pagelet hosts the document; the link opens the PDF in the reader's browser or downloads it, depending on their browser settings.

Can I replace my PDF without changing the link?

Each new PDF upload creates a separate publication with a new URL. When you publish a revised document, update the links and QR codes that should open the new version.

Do readers need an account?

No. Anyone with an unprotected link can open the PDF. A document's address is not private access control. For a PDF you own, you can enable password protection from your dashboard before sharing the link.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, with Pro. Add the custom domain to the publication in your dashboard and follow the DNS instructions. Pagelet sets up HTTPS after the domain is verified.

Can I get a QR code for my PDF?

Yes — every hosted document gets a QR code. Open it from your dashboard and print it wherever the link needs to live.

Is there a file size limit?

5 MB per PDF on the free plan, 50 MB on Pro — plenty for text-based documents; compress scans before uploading.
